Manganese increases the wear resistance of steel and the tensile strength. Manganese replaces scarce nickel in stainless steels.

Pieces of manganese metal of grade MN95, both in the fracture and on the surface, should not be contaminated with sand, slag and other foreign materials. Traces of non-stick materials and oxide film are allowed.

Manganese metal grade Mn95 is made in pieces weighing no more than 15 kg. The number of pieces weighing more than 15 kg should not exceed 3% of the lot weight. The amount of trifles passing through a sieve with a cell size of 10x10mm should not exceed 10% of the lot weight.

Metal and nitrogenated manganese is packed in wooden boxes, metal drums or in specialized containers. It is allowed to supply metal manganese grades Mn965 and Mn95 in bulk.
