Ferrovanadium.

Ferrovanadium is used to obtain a fine crystal structure of steel, increase the toughness and stability of steel against variable loads, increase hardening and resistance against temper.The surface and fracture of pieces of ferrovanadium should not be contaminated with sand, slag and other foreign materials.

Oxide film plaque and traces of non-stick materials are allowed.

Ferrovanadium is supplied crushed in pieces weighing no more than 5.0 kg. The amount of trifles passing through a sieve with a cell size of 10x10mm should not exceed 5% of the lot weight; the amount of trifles passing through a sieve with a cell size of 2x2mm is not more than 3% of the lot weight.

At the request of the consumer, the following classes of largeness are manufactured in accordance with the table.

Ferrovanadium is transported packed into steel drums.

Area of application - for alloying steels, alloys and cast iron.
