Details on
Copper based master alloys.

The use of copper ligatures in metallurgy is very extensive. In the process of alloying copper alloys, copper ligatures usually show better results compared to pure alloying materials (for example, Cr, Zr, Ti, etc.). This is mainly due to the fact that copper ligatures dissolve much faster and at lower temperatures, saving both time and energy. Moreover, due to their much lower capacity for oxidation and/or evaporation, they demonstrate better and more predictable digestibility in melt, including lowering the consumption rates of alloying materials. In addition to alloying, copper ligatures are also used to modify the structure and convert the graininess of copper-based alloys.
