Ferrosilicium.
Ferrosilicon is used as deoxidizing and alloying additives for smelting electrical, spring-spring, corrosion- and heat-resistant steels.As well as structural and tool steels, alloying and modification of cast iron.
The surface of blocks and pieces of ferrosilicon should not have pronounced inclusions of slag and other foreign materials.
Separate inclusions of welded sand, traces of other non-stick materials and graphite are allowed.
Ferrosilicon is supplied in pieces weighing no more than 25 kg or in pieces weighing no more than 45 kg. Fragmented ferrosilicon is supplied by classes of size in accordance with the table.
FS92 ferrosilicon of any class of size and ferrosilicon of other brands of 5-7 classes of size are transported packed in steel drums or in specialized containers.
Ferrosilicon of other brands in pieces weighing up to 25 kg, in cushions and 1-4 classes of size are transported in specialized containers or in bulk.
Scope:
- for deoxidizing and alloying steels;
- for alloying and modifying cast iron.
