Ferrovolfram is one of the most important alloying elements in the production of special steel grades.Additive tungsten to steel, in the form of ferro-tungsten, delays grain growth and, when heated, creates a fine-grained structure, increases hardness, rupture resistance and elasticity limit, and contributes to the preservation of high hardness and stability of the microstructure at elevated temperatures.

It is made crushed in pieces passing through a grid with the dimensions of square cells 100x100 mm.

It comes packed in steel drums, wooden boxes or special containers.

Ferrovolfram increases the strength limit and the yield limit of steel with a slight decrease in elongation, increases hardness and wear resistance. Improves the mechanical properties of steel at elevated temperatures, heat resistance and resistance against temper.

Ferrovolfram is the main alloying element of steels for hot working tools and high-speed steels.
